About the Vermont Lottery
The most interesting feature of Vermont Lottery is offering multi-state games. Of course, there are state-exclusive games like Pick 3 and Pick 4, but they didn’t gain as much popularity. The state of Vermont was one of the states that formed Tri-State Lottery in the 80s. And this is why a rich diversity of lottery games is available here.
The games that emerged thanks to the Tri-State Lottery back in 1985 are Megabucks and Weekly Grand. Next decades brought the addition remaining multi-state lotteries available in the United States; Powerball and Mega Millions. They appeared in 2003 and 2010, respectively. As you may have guessed, these games became instant hits as well.
Mega Millions came into life nearly 32 years after first tickets for any game in Vermont had gone on sale. Green Mountain Game was the game that introduced legal gambling in Vermont back in 1978. That weekly drawing game undoubtedly woke up the spirit of lotteries among the Vermont residents. That same year, tickets for another game were made available. They were intended for a scratch game named Scratch ‘N Match.
Sadly, no one was able to win the jackpot in Powerball and Mega Millions so far. But taking into consideration the fact that it’s now easier to win, we can assume that a big win in Vermont is just a matter of time. The whole America is a proof for this bold statement. And in terms of donating the revenues, much money is given to Education Fund and that makes the residents of Vermont even happier.
